Sanil Atarah Rivka: you might be my new best friend. You're only the second person I've seen/met/whatever who knows who Francesca Lia Block is. "Girl Goddess #9" should be mando reading for all teen girls. : ) And "Weetzie Bat". Hey, Amber, trying getting her to read one of those. "Wasteland" is really good.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17017554278813071029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5080372433953859587.post-49058610766498651422010-01-27T09:11:00.941-05:002010-01-27T09:11:00.941-05:00LK & Sanil,

Probably the closest thing I can think of would be Francesca Lia Block's books. Have you read any of them? I know I cried for the last 20 pages or so of Wasteland, and for a few of the stories in The Rose and the Beast. Most of her stories are romantic in a much sadder way than Nicholas Sparks, imo. Of course, I've never been able to make myself finish a book of his or even a movie based on one of his books, so maybe I'm missing something.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07382787889525110718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5080372433953859587.post-82596097547665124682010-01-26T22:40:10.479-05:002010-01-26T22:40:10.479-05:00Well if she liked Harry Potter and Twilight I woul...Well if she liked Harry Potter and Twilight I would suggest "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater.

Romance I'm not so good with, I don't like them LOL. Although" Diary of a Mad Bride" is a really cute book.

And I book I recommend for you is "Graceling" by Kristin Cashore. AMAZING. This girl has the grace of fighting. One of the best fantasy books I have read yet. "Fire" is also fantastic.LKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06170091976914539273noreply@blogger.com
