As in I was obsessed, and when they showed the final episode of the TV show on the Danish channel (when I was about 11) I went up to my room and cried. I wanted to BE Laura... and I was always getting my sister to play "Laura and blind Mary" - including tying scarves over my eyes so I couldn't see and walk around the house like that.

I also really liked Anne of Green Gables, and I read a TON of horse books.Rebekka @ Becky's Kaleidoscopehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08561986047548051036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5080372433953859587.post-5538275002717499222011-04-11T10:44:21.111-04:002011-04-11T10:44:21.111-04:00:D

It was pretty decent...sometimes weird, I couldn't tell when it was supposed to take place. At first I thought it was a little older, like when the book actually takes place, then AnnaSophia Robb walks in all Avril-flavored punk, then a teacher with zero boundaries makes me think it's the 70s or so...yeah. But really, pretty good movie. The book was also good, obviously. But I find myself more able to watch the movie over again than I am able to read the book...even if I do still break down and cry a lot every time.

I used to read Nancy Drew. I never actually had any of them, though. I had a few Mandie books the church gave away as prizes sometimes (Christian Nancy Drew, takes place maybe around the same time as Anne of Green Gables?), and a few of the Hardy Boys books..more of the new series than the shiny blue hardcovers. Sad, the older ones are a lot better. But the new paperback ones much cheaper.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07382787889525110718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5080372433953859587.post-21440495324952224122011-04-07T18:01:31.710-04:002011-04-07T18:01:31.710-04:00Loved seeing your favorites and thinking of Younge...Loved seeing your favorites and thinking of Younger Amber reading them...especially under the covers with a flashlight! :DSusannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03115294023069458287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5080372433953859587.post-1823836521326616652011-04-07T17:53:47.692-04:002011-04-07T17:53:47.692-04:00OMG BUNNICULA!
