We have a fenced in (mostly) cement slab on our property. It's meant to be a basketball/volleyball court, but we don't really use it. The plan is to eventually build a barn in that space. So for now it just sits there.
I feed Yard Cat over there, so I pay attention to the space more than anyone else in the family. And we have a ninja snake. It's a snake that climbs the fence (which they do) and then vanishes into thin freaking air. I want to get a picture of it because snakes climbing fences is really neat to watch. But he's never there when I actually have my camera on me and when I do see him and run back to get my camera, he's *gone*. And I can't figure out where he's disappearing to. Snakes are fast, yes, but he's climbing *up* the fence. So I don't know where he's going along the fence. It has vines, but it's not so overgrown that I can't see through them to the fence itself. *frowns*
He's either a ninja or a phantom snake. I'm not sure which.
Wow! Sounds neat!
ReplyDelete*puts on hat of determination*
DeleteI will get a picture of the ninja ghost snake climbing that fence. I WILL.
hole in the ground on the other side probably.
ReplyDeleteThis is Sol by the way if I log in it goes mad...
I thought that too, but I couldn't find a hole. Which doesn't mean it isn't there, of course. But it's weird that he's always climbing to the top and vanishing - AH HA! I've got it! Sol, you're a genius!
DeleteI bet that the top poles aren't totally connected under all the vines and he's climbing *inside* one of them! That makes *total* sense!
have you bought the box set?
ReplyDeleteand have you read Terry Pratchett Long earth? hmm am not sure what to make of it. I think it will be another series as it ended like someone cut the book in half...
Nope. I put it on my Christmas list in the hopes that it will still be available at Christmas time and that my parents will get it for me. :)
DeleteI haven't read that one no. The only thing that I've actually read by Pratchett is Good Omens. I have a couple of this Discworld books but they're "P's" and I'm only up to the "O's" in my book collection.
you know I would love to live in America for a few years... but then there are snakes an alligators. hmm you are really brave to watch it. could it bite you?
ReplyDeleteNot all of America has snakes and alligators. :)
DeleteAny wild animal can bite. It's not a poisonous snake, so if I did get bitten it would just hurt, not be life threatening. However, I'm very careful to not get too close so I don't alarm the snake or risk getting bitten. If I wasn't sure that it was just a common black snake I'd leave it alone.
