The first movie I can remember deliberately not spoiling for myself! Admittedly, mostly because I'm petty and want to know if I'm geeky enough to get the post-credits scene, since several people on Facebook bragged about their geekiness in recognizing some character most people wouldn't know. So I don't want to know who it is until I see the movie, probably next week. I hope.
This is true. The character is...not one that non comics nerds will know. Also, there are two credits scenes. One fairly quickly in and then one at the *very* end of the credits. Worth staying for, imo.
It's better than good. It's splendiferous. It's made of awesome and it spews out rainbows and kittens. Well armed kittens, but kittens!
And you can't compare this to X-Men. You *can't*. They've had a plan and they've been building up to this movie, making sure that it's all tied in and in-universe compliant.
If they were to try to do the Justice League they'd have to reboot Batman (again), Superman (which they're in the middle of), Green Lantern (because god love Ryan Reynolds, but that movie was a mess) and do a Wonder Woman movie. All with the same skill that Marvel has used on the Avengers 'verse. I just don't have that much faith in DC right now.

Deletelooks like its gonna land somewhere near $2 billion on box office globally. Can't wait to watch it this weekend on our part of the world.
ReplyDeleteIts success makes me very happy. I'm probably (definitely) going to see it again.
DeleteIm just glad its good. After Xmen (the first 3) I was a bit worried but it is Joss Whedon. Maybe they'll do Justice League now to compete LOL
