21 Years Ago Today...

I lost my only child status.

And she hasn't shut her mouth since. Happy Birthday Baby Sis! I'm going to call her later and sing badly at her....
The picture is not actually my sister. I stole it from Holly, who borrowed it from Umm Adam. :)

  1. Too funny..thanks for sharing. Tell her Happy Birthday from the great white north, which really doesn't look white at all right now. It has to be 40 degrees outside, all the snow has melted and it is SUNNY!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I've done my sisterly duty and caused her emabrrasment. All is right with the world. And she says
"...thanks...?" But she's used to being confused by me, so no worries.

*raises eyebrow* 40? It was 40 here not too long ago, and I went into work in jeans, socks and tennies, an undershirt, a long sleeved shirt, a jacket, gloves and a scarf over my usual scarf, wrapped around my head and neck. I'm a Florida girl, born and raised. 40 is cold...

  3. That's cute. :-) Happy birthday to your sister!

Btw, I really love your replies at Umm Adam's blog. You are so thoughtful and considerate in how you reply. I greatly admire that!

How did you learn so much about Islam? Are there a lot of Muslims where you live? I've never met any here ... seen VERY few (like 3 women.) I wish I lived nearer to some as I'd like to make friends with them.

Anyway...I enjoy reading your blog. I don't always comment, but I have been reading it about 2 weeks now.

    Take care. :-)

  4. Susanne,

Thanks, she was cute, then she started talking...;)

Again, thanks for the comments about my comments on Umm Adam's blog. *shrug* What's the point of being rude? It's hardly going to make anyone listen, and nothing that they may say is going to affect my faith, so I might as well be courteous. And I try to explain myself as best I can.

Hmmm...I don't really think that I know all that much about Islam. What I do know I've learned just from reading. I read a lot.

I assume that we have Muslims in the area, we do have a mosque, but I have seen three, and I've lived here for 25 years. They must be here though, but I don't know any personally.

And belatedly, welcome to the blog. Wow, people actually read this stuff. I'm sort of surprised...
