Hmmm...the only hummus I've ever had is from the grocery store. The brand is...Sabra. There's no place around here that makes it fresh. We're not that cosmopolitan!

I like babaghanoush as well, more galic the better with all of this. but dont ask me to touch the aubergine once it has been cooked. I cant touch them. makes me shudder thinking about it.
Sabra hummus is great. :) I actually like it better than a lot of restaurant hummus. I want to make some myself and it doesn't look too complicated, but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I'm not sure why people don't like it...probably just think it looks weird. I was hesitant to try it the first time.
I don't like most hummus I've tried here from the grocery store, but the freshly-made stuff in Syria was good. But my favorite was babaghanoush.

Have you ever had fried eggplant (aubergine)? It's pretty good.
