Well, it's good to know that St. Raphael counts in the Orthodox Church too. Just in case. :)
I won't see the Deacon again until Monday, but I was talking to my sponsor, and she says that the archangels are acceptable. She knows several people who chose St. Michael, both men and women.
St. Raphael qualifies. Have you read Tobit? Way cool book.
ReplyDelete*whew*
ReplyDeleteI hadn't had a chance to ask the Deacon about my choice yet. We're supposed to talk a little bit more about it next week.
I have indeed read Tobit. It's one of my favorite books of the Bible. :)
I should qualify that: St. Raphael qualifies in the OC as an acceptable Saint's name. I'm curious as to what your Deacon will say about it.
ReplyDeleteI know one youngster who's patron saint is the Archangel Michael. As is my parish's.
